Rodney Gayle is a Managing Director at Phoenix with more than 30 years of executive experience in operations and technology roles across a broad array of industries in small, medium and large organizations. He is a problem-solving change agent with a background in manufacturing, technology, and financial services, bringing a unique blend of functional insight across all areas of operations.
His insight, as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, with his technology expertise and financial acumen, enables value delivery in a variety of settings. His clients realize immediate value through operational improvements and assessments, organizational design, business intelligence, continuous improvement, strategic planning, business risk assessments, and more.
Mr. Gayle’s style of working hands-on with Phoenix clients provides rapid insight in many environments as he leads engagements involving turnaround management, interim management, operational and technology integrations, quality of earnings and due diligence assignments, and continuous improvement and profit improvement initiatives. He is characterized as a pragmatic and metric-driven leader, possessing strategic and tactical skills, who drives positive change and optimizes resources. With a comprehensive range of functional disciplines and relationship management skills, he is both an effective leader and a valued member of successful teams.
Before joining Phoenix, Mr. Gayle worked in a variety of entrepreneurial and leadership roles. For 15 years he served in several leadership roles with a Fortune 50 company, MetLife. With a focus in technology and operational functions, he served insurance, banking and customer service verticals. Mr. Gayle has held sales management positions within the beverage industry and managed distribution, logistics, and operations for a fast-growth software company. He spent many years as a manager and partner for a private company in precision machining, plastic forming and manufacturing where he provided hands-on leadership.
Mr. Gayle graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor’s of Science in both Operations Management and Human Resource Management. Mr. Gayle is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt attained from Villanova University. He has been previously registered with FINRA holding Series 6 and Series 26 licenses, has held additional insurance licenses in Life and Health and Property and Casualty as well as designated as an Accredited Mortgage Professional by the MBA. In addition, Rodney holds the Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) designation from the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).
