Jason Egger is a Director at Phoenix Management Services in the firm’s Cleveland office. Mr. Egger is an experienced commercial banking professional with more than 23 years in lending, asset management, loan workout, and debt restructuring experience in the financial services industry.
He brings a unique perspective of how banks and financial institutions approach troubled assets and distressed companies. Jason has a proven track record for implementing creative strategies that maximize recoveries, reduce risk, and prevent losses for both performing and non-performing companies.
Acting as a trusted advisor, he provides strategic and in-depth experience with asset disposition, foreclosures, Chapter 11 bankruptcy, note sales, enterprise evaluations, financial forecasting, crisis management, strategic advisory, financial analysis, financial reporting presentation, and debt restructuring. Jason specializes in assisting institutional clients, lenders, and private investors with distressed real estate, commercial C&I, non-profit, and middle market companies.
Prior to joining Phoenix, Jason served as a Relationship Manager / Workout Officer for 15 years with KeyBank in Cleveland, Ohio. He was responsible for all aspects of problem commercial C&I, middle market, business banking, and commercial real estate loans, protecting the Bank against losses and ensuring an effective and efficient workout strategy. Mr. Egger directly managed the turnaround or exit of complex credit relationships ranging from $1MM non-profits to $1B multi-lender syndicated transactions.
Jason is a graduate from Bowling Green State University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a specialization in business management. He has been trained in commercial credit by Omega Performance and Moody’s Analytics. Jason is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Great Lakes Chapter.
