Phoenix Year End Review

2020 Year in Review: Unique and Challenging

  • Phoenix’s commitment and dedication to our clients allowed us to advise 21 clients in obtaining approximately $70 million+ in PPP loans. Our professionals preserved more than 4,000 jobs in a wide range of industries, including but not limited to, manufacturing, food and beverage, consumer products, and healthcare.

New Promotions

  • RJ Bell has been promoted to Associate. RJ joined the firm in 2018 and has provided financial support to a wide range of Phoenix clients. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina where he obtained Bachelor degreeā€™s in both Finance and International Business. RJ is a registered investment banking representative with FINRA and holds his Series 79 license.
  • Kevin Doyle has been promoted to Associate. Since joining Phoenix in 2018, he has assisted Phoenix clients on a wide range of engagements providing financial analysis. Kevin is a graduate from Villanova University where he obtained his Bachelor degree in Economics.
  • Kyle Landis has been promoted to Senior Analyst. Kyle joined Phoenix in January 2020 after serving as a Portfolio Associate with Cognetic Capital Advisors. Kyle is a graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology where he earned a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration Banking and Finance.

Awards, Recognitions, and Certifications

  • Marc Sullivan, Managing Director at Phoenix Management Services, has been awarded the designation of Certified Turnaround Professional from the Turnaround Management Association. Marc has more than 20 years of executive management and finance experience and has been an advisor to both high growth and transitional companies.
  • Rodney Gayle, Managing Director at Phoenix Management Services, has been awarded the designation of Certified Turnaround Professional from the Turnaround Management Association. As a financial leader, Rodney has more than 30 years of experience managing and advising clients in complex situations.
  • Kyle Landis earned his Series 79 with FINRA. In addition to his Series 79, Kyle also holds his Series 7 and 63 investment banking licenses with FINRA.
  • Sean Rieder earned his Series 79 with FINRA. In addition to his Series 79, Sean also holds his Series 65 investment banking licenses with FINRA and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.

  • Marc Sullivan, Managing Director, authored a white paper titled “Lower for How Much Longer.” The oil and gas industry has been hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. The white paper explores the fundamentals of the oil market, bankruptcy in the oil and gas exploration and production industry, and the current landscape for funding in the industry.
  • Michael Gaul, Senior Director, authored an article titled “How Companies are Cutting Costs During the COVID-19 Pandemic” for ABF Journal. The article takes a look at how some companies are cutting costs, especially those struggling to survive in an economy damaged by the COVID-19 pandemic.
