Phoenix Management Opens New Office in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, OH (September 26, 2006) ” National turnaround management firm Phoenix Management Services (www.phoenixmanagement.com) announced it has hired Richard J. Szekelyi to open a new office in Cleveland. The Cleveland office will also serve the markets of Cincinnati, Akron, Toledo, Columbus, Pittsburgh and Detroit.

“Phoenix Management is aggressively expanding into high-growth markets,” explained Mitchell Arden, Managing Director and Shareholder. “Our growing national footprint, combined with our exceptional new hires, will provide the foundation for future growth for our turnaround management and investment banking services.” Phoenix has also opened a new office in Atlanta.

In his new position as Director, Szekelyi is charged with managing Phoenix’s new Cleveland office. Szekelyi has more than 30 years of experience working with companies facing challenges resulting from growth, inadequate financing and capitalization, changing industries and operational deficiencies. His diverse background includes commercial and investment banking, public accounting, crisis management, senior financial and operational management, as well as extensive acquisition experience. Prior to joining Phoenix, Szekelyi led NorthPoint Management, a business and financial services firm he founded in 1996.

Szekelyi holds an MBA from Xavier University, a BS from Ohio State University, and is a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking at Rutgers University. Szekelyi is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Ohio. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of CPA’s, the Turnaround Management Association, the AICPA Business Valuation & Forensic Accounting Membership Section, and the Association for Corporate Growth.
