Patrick Bellot is a Vice President with Phoenix Management Services. As part of the Phoenix team, he has participated on more than 60 engagements where Phoenix advised, managed, and raised capital for companies in both the public and private sectors.

Mr. Bellot has held advisory roles as well as interim managerial finance roles where he developed budgeting and forecasting tools, managed liquidity, negotiated with creditors and capital providers, and executed complex restructuring initiatives.

Furthermore, Mr. Bellot has participated in the successful execution of more than $120M of capital raise transactions both inside and outside of court.

  • Served as restructuring advisor to a publicly traded health and wellness company through a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and §363 sale process. As restructuring advisor, Mr. Bellot was responsible for rapidly determined the weekly cash requirements to bridge to a sale or recapitalization of the business. Mr. Bellot assumed all cash management and reporting responsibilities and led the finance work-stream in the development of a restructuring plan that included a balance sheet restructuring, take-private transaction, facility consolidation, product rationalization, and customer rationalization. In addition, Mr. Bellot advised the Board of Directors on liquidity, various transactions structures, and potential fraudulent conveyance risks.
  • Served as restructuring advisor to a $100M distributor of pet products through a liquidity crisis and facility consolidation. As restructuring advisor, Mr. Bellot investigated the root causes of declining sales, fluctuating margins, and inflated operating expenses. He also built a multi-year budget model with sensitivities to illustrate the financial impacts of proposed operational changes, assumed all liquidity forecasting and reporting duties, and led work-streams on multiple initiatives, including a facility consolidation and a SKU rationalization, that contributed to a 20% reduction in SG&A expenses, 3% increase in gross margin, and successful refinancing of the company’s secured debt.
  • Served as financial advisor and investment banker in the sale of a $50M master distributor of industrial goods. On this engagement, Mr. Bellot helped develop a report on the root causes of the business’s operating losses and liquidity crisis, counseled the ownership group and secured creditors on the risks of injecting more capital into the business, and supported the negotiation of a forbearance agreement with the secured lenders which provided time to sell substantially all the assets of the business.
  • Served as financial advisor to the Unsecured Creditor’s Committee and then liquidating trustee in the bankruptcy of a $500M manufacture of residential flooring. On this engagement, Mr. Bellot monitored liquidity through the case, led the investigation into potential preference transfers leading up to bankruptcy, and led the detailed reconciliation of $180M of creditor claims.
  • Developed a fully integrated budget model (profit & loss, balance sheet, GAAP cash flow) for a $50M importer and wholesaler of home décor.

Prior to joining Phoenix in 2014, Mr. Bellot was employed in a variety of corporate finance roles for a high-growth multinational pharmaceutical company.


Patrick is a Cum Laude graduate from Suffolk University with a B.A. in Finance. He is also a registered investment banking representative through FINRA and holds his series 79 license.
